Group Therapy

In Group therapy, two or more patients meet with one or more therapists to discuss a common issue. Some examples of helpful group therapy are anger management, substance abuse and addiction groups, and coping with physical diseases like cancer. One of the reasons group therapy works so well is that patients can learn from one another's experiences and also help to form a support system for one another as they deal with their issues.

What can you expect?

Often, group therapy costs less than individual therapy, and so is more affordable for patients. Patients also oftentimes feel much better for knowing that there are others who are trying to deal with the same disorders and problems that they themselves experience.
